When you are deployed to help with a training or incident, you must have a more in depth understanding of how a response works, especially when it comes to the Incident Command System. Some of the training listed is required for specific Kitsap CERT Membership Levels and some are just good to have in case you need it.
All of the courses listed here are free to take and are online so you can take them as you have time. Once you complete a course, if you are trying to obtain a higher Membership Level or if you simply want the training added to your record, please send an electronic copy of your certificate to the CERT Program Manager.

ICS-200: ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents (listed as IS-200 on the FEMA website) - ICS 200 is designed to enable personnel to operate efficiently during an incident or event within the Incident Command System (ICS). ICS-200 provides training on and resources for personnel who are likely to assume a supervisory position within the ICS.

IS-700.A: National Incident Management System (NIMS) An Introduction - This course introduces and overviews the National Incident Management System (NIMS). NIMS provides a consistent nationwide template to enable all government, private-sector, and nongovernmental organizations to work together during domestic incidents.
